One of the greatest and creepiest revenge movies of all time has been remade and is set for release next year because no one in Hollywood has any new ideas. Carrie remains a classic horror movie, that not only launched Sissy Spacek’s career, it was pretty terrifying. The trailer for the reboot recently started circulating, after it’s debut at the New York Comic Con.
Boys Don’t Cry director Kimberly Peirce will give her spin on the Stephen King masterpiece, with Chloe Grace Mortez--known for her rolls in Kiss-Ass and Let Me In--playing the abused telekinetic teenager who tries to kill almost bully in her high school on prom night. It's doubtful that the remake will be more terrifying than the original, but after viewing the trailer, there's going to be a lot more flames.
